The
Pastor of the Blue Point Congregational Church will only perform
weddings of members and their families.
However, in the information above, you will find a list of
Ministers that will preside over weddings at Blue Point Congregational
Church. If you are unable
to secure a minister through that list, please let me know and I will be
happy to help you.

The
Blue Point Church is proud to have an Austin Organ (a pipe organ) as its
primary source of music. Unlike
most churches, the Blue Point Congregational Church was built to
accommodate the organ. Most churches are built and then a
place is found for the organ. Not so with this organ and church.
From its high ceiling, to its angled front wall, everything was built to
enhance the sound of the organ.
Our
Organist will be prepared to play appropriate music as your
guests gather before your wedding, as needed during the ceremony, and as
your guests leave. The
organist will also be present at your wedding rehearsal.
Please contact our organist as soon as possible to discuss the
music selections. Outside
musicians may only be used at the discretion of the church
organist.

The
Church building will be
decent and in good order for your wedding rehearsal and your wedding
ceremony. It will be
appropriately heated in the winter.
We’re sorry that we cannot provide air conditioning in the
summer.) In any season, pitchers of cold water will be available to
the wedding party and guests. Restrooms
are available on the lower level.

We
have a plain silver and a plain gold unity candle holder for you to use,
if requested (candles not included).
For a nominal fee, I can also decorate the Sanctuary with
the white pew bows and white lace bunting,
pictured left, prior to your arrival at the rehearsal.
This in not included in the sanctuary fee and done by request
only. Please let me know if
this is something you are interested in.

|
The
Church yard is also available to you, either for a receiving line
as people leave the church, or for formal pictures in the church’s
gardens after your wedding. You
will find the yard tidy and the lawn mowed.
(In the winter, snow will be appropriately removed!)
If there is any signage in front of the church promoting special
church events, we will make every effort to have those signs discretely
removed for your wedding.

|
The
Church’s social hall on the lower level is available to you to
get ready for the ceremony, as a gathering-point for the wedding party
before and/or after the ceremony, as well as for catered receptions.
|
|
The
sitting room off from the Narthex, pictured below, is also
available for the bridal party to gather before the ceremony.

As
the Wedding Coordinator for the Blue Point
Congregational Church, I will be there for you during the months leading
up to your wedding; at the rehearsal to share experiences from past
weddings and assist the Pastor, as necessary; and of course, during the
ceremony itself to assist the bridal party.
You have my assurance that I will do my best to help make your
Wedding go as smoothly as possible.
For
more information, please contact me via e-mail at
weddingsbpc@bluepointchurch.org
You may also leave a message on the church answering machine
